Format File Structure

Format files (.fmt) are used to format raw text ASCII radio catalog files. This is really a little helper file that instructs the Radio Source File Converter Tool determine what columns in the ASCII text table to use when extracting data. Most lines of the format file are self-explanatory. The name of the data field is followed on the next line with a value. In the case of  Number of Epochs 1 is always used followed by J for Epoch 2000 or B for Epoch 1950. Sorted by RA has no data. Currently, Number of Catalogs is always 1.
