Stripchart of the solar burst received at the Winward Community College Observatory in Hawaii on September 23, 2000. The times at the bottom of the chart are local Hawaiian times. Add 10 hours for UTC. Notice the extreme attack time of the large central burst. The front edge of the burst occurred in about 2 seconds. Maximum burst intensity was achieved in 9 seconds. Compare the stripchart with the spectrograph above taken at the Culgoora radio observatory in Australia.
